But also put yourself in their shoes, imagine yourself their age, some don't even have family that visits them, they themselves are extremely limited in being able to move around to even do things that maybe they used to enjoy doing when they were younger, they wake up everyday just to eat and go to the bathroom, you'd be depressed and suicidal too.

sorry but, as a former US Army Military Policeman for 14 years... that scene. dis gust ing. that's some of the WORST EPW (enemy prisoner of war) conditions i've ever seen with my own two eyeballs.

one of the worst things my grandfather had to deal with (according to my pops, since granpa killed himself before pops was 15) during HIS time as a US Army MP was in WW2 in Europe. he was taking care of German concentration camp internees. i've read other first-hand accounts... since my granpa almost NEVER talked about anything having to do with WW2 with my pops. it was the reverse problem, the starving people there had to be RESTRAINED and fed by hand. this was so they didn't gorge themselves and immediately vomit every bite up and then shovel the chewed food they just vomited up back into their mouths. because wasting food in any way was one of the easiest ways to get a German guard to beat you unconscious and shove you into a hole somewheres for days on end with no food or water.

so, watching somebody force a prisoner's jaw open and shove whole food into their mouth? sick. it is just sick.

I rarely say this... but this anime is working it's way to my 9/10 for the year.(behind Vinland saga)
The Ending/Opening is top tier.And the characters depth, amazing. I just hope they don't kill it with lame politic talk-no-jutsu.

But isn't gundam have always been political? Well for most of the series at least, can prolly exclude builders from the list but I didn't watch it that far in my childhood and im too lazy to rewatch the whole thing so I can't really know where politic will drop in that series

As a father, watching this episode, I was holding back my tears until the song in the end kicks in. DAMN IT! STOP FALLING, TEARS!

It's like the real MC of the series just appeared. Guel struggle in this episode makes a great beginning to a Gundam story if it wasn't already episode 15 already.

Guel really deserves his own spinoff.

Guel is the actual protagonist. Poor guy has to endure so much, without being able to do anything.
He keeps on losing and losing everything that matters to him, for absolutely no reward, and is basically chased by both spacians and earthians as a bargaining chip.
It's quite sad to follow. Can't wait for him to start kicking butts.

Man, they really got my hopes up that Guel would be able to save Seethia in time when he carried her out of the wrecked school, so it broke my heart seeing her dead in the cockpit at the end of the battle…

I’m really liking the direction the series is taking with Guel’s character though. It’s amazing how different he is now compared to how he started out, and I’m really looking forward to his journey from here on out.

Guel's character development is very impressive. He's my favorite character now.

It such a sad fate for that girl T^T Guel is getting so much suffering to further his self to become better.

yes, her sacrifice was used as stepping stone for his redemption arc.
